Q : I have a hemorroid that is not a pile or thrombosis? It just simply bleeds almost on every bowel movement. I had to have a blood transfusion from loss of blood. What are my options? I've had a colonoscopy and it turned out normal.

Answer :  Hello Anna. There isn't sufficient information for us to decide why you have so much bleeding after a bowel movement. But this is a serious condition and must be investigated throughly by a good proctologist or a gastroenterologist. There could be many causes of bleeding such as fissures, hemorrhoids, infection, ulcer and so on. Bleeding may also be coming from the colon, rectum or anus. The fact that your colonoscopy is normal does sound encouraging, but since your blood loss is so severe you must consult a gastroenterlogist at the earliest.
