: Can anal sex cause hemmoroids? I've only done it twice in the last few days and now I'm bleeding, not much though. Also, it was three days ago that the sex occured. Thanks,

Since the rectum and anus area do not have much lubrication, the friction from anal sex can tear the thin lining of the rectum. Always lubricate the anal area with a water-based lubricant before anal sex. The other danger of having anal sex with hemorrhoids is the possibility of catching HIV (if you are not sure about your partner) since hemorrhoids can bleed. Always wear a condom before having anal sex. Generally, it is good to avoid anal sex until your hemorrhoids have healed.
