: Hello Jose. Hemorrhoids (or 'piles') are swollen veins in the anal canal and anal skin. They can cause pain, especially after a bowel movement. However there are other causes of anal pain as well and it is always best to see a doctor if your pain is making you uncomfortable. There is no direct link between hemorrhoids and urine infections. If your hemorrhoid comes out of the body then it becomes difficult to clean the area fully and this can allow the bacteria to grow there. These bacteria can enter women's body and cause urine infections; it isn't the case with men. A common factor in both urine infections and hemorrhoids could be that you may not have taken sufficient water, which can give you hemorrhoids by making your stool hard and also cause urine infections. You must ask your doctor for more advice and further treatment.
