Q : I am a second degree piles patient. which is my best treatment method. if surgery piles will reoccur or not

Answer :  Hello Anas. Banding is a common treatment for second and third-degree piles. An elastic band is placed at the base of the pile so the blood supply to the pile is reduced. The pile then shrinks and drops off after a few days. The pile is passed with a stool and the bands fall off with time. Up to three piles can be treated during each procedure. It is generally successful but if it fails you can have further banding treatment. It is difficult to say whether the piles will come back after surgery. However, you must make some lifestyle changes to
get rid of piles. This includes increasing fibre intake in your diet, drinking plenty of water, taking a stool softener such as isaphgula husk (Fybogel) and regular exercise.
