Answer :  Hello Shayne. Hemorrhoids can be quite embarrassing but there are many doctors who specialize in this treatment so you should consult them at least once. Usually a gastroenterologist or a proctologist will treat hemorrhoids. A gastroenterologist is a medical doctor who diagnoses and treats diseases and conditions associated with the digestive system. A proctologist is a doctor specializing in diseases of the rectum and anus. There are a number of natural remedies and products available for treating hemorrhoids in the market today. Some are in the form of pills while others are creams or gels. These products are derived from naturally occurring herbs such as butcher’s broom, horse chestnut, bilberry and so on. These herbs work by improving circulation around the anal region, which reduces pain and itching and prevents the piles from reappearing. Some of the leading drugs in the market today are Avatrol, N2 Cream, Preparation H, Hemaron and Venapro.
The best way to prevent hemorrhoids is to keep stools soft so they pass easily, thus decreasing pressure and straining, and to empty bowels as soon as possible after the urge occurs. Exercise, including walking, and increased fiber in the diet help reduce constipation and straining by producing stools that are softer and easier to pass.
