Painless Treatment
It is quite an ordeal to live with hemorrhoids, painful and embarrassing. Therefore, the painless treatment of hemorrhoids has come as a boon for patients. Several non-surgical and non-invasive methods of treatment are available as alternatives. Some of them are:
Injection For mild hemorrhoids, the method of injecting medicine to the mucous membranes near the hemorrhoid is effective. It will help to shrink the hemorrhoid and its blood vessels.
Transanal Hemorrhoidal Dearterialisation This is a less invasive surgery which involves only internal stitches beneath the artery to stop the blood flow to the hemorrhoids. It is done using specialized devices like a proctoscope and a Doppler ultrasound flowmeter.
Bipolar coagulation Biploar coagulation or bipolar electrotherapy is a non-surgical treatment of internal hemorrhoids. It affects a directed coagulation effect of the mucous membrane near the hemorrhoid. Photocoagulation/Infrared coagulation This method uses infrared coagulation and is found to be effective in the case of bleeding internal hemorrhoids. It lasts for about ten minutes and ensures speedy and painless recovery.
Hemorrhoidolysis It uses therapeutic galvanic waves directly to the hemorrhoid and this produces a chemical reaction which eventually shrinks and dissolves the hemorrhoidal tissue. It is found to be effective on internal hemorrhoids.
Rubber Band Ligation This is a widely used procedure where the hemorrhoidal tissue is pulled into a double-sleeved cylinder and a tight rubber band is placed over it to check the blood flow. In about a week the band falls off and is ejected during bowel movement.
